Clinical Research Coordinator (30-40 hrs/week)

Make a difference as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

Coordinate many aspects of the trials including but not limited to:
Subject recruitment, study procedures, data management and regulatory and financial compliance.
Conducts subject recruitment activities and study procedures as required by specific protocols (including prescreening, conducting study visits, tracking and distributing test article, educating subjects, and other duties as delegated by the principal investigator). Conducts complete, timely data management activities (including recording source data and keying in source data to study-specific electronic data capture systems) in compliance with protocol specifications.  Collecting, processing, tracking and shipping protocol-specific lab samples.  Communication with sponsor, principal investigator and other study staff regarding protocol activities and clarifications, adverse events and other requirements.

Clinical Research Assistant  (Hours Vary 25-30 per week)

Essential Duties

Answering multiple phone lines.
       Direct/transfer calls when necessary
       Concise, accurate message taking
Patient Recruitment
       Making cold calls to patients in the database who may be candidates for studies as well
       as answering inquiries made by patients who have expressed interest by phone or      
Assist in coordinating research activities including arranging necessary appointments and procedures for study participants.  Work collaboratively with other departments and institutions and maintain contact with study participants.
Organize study participant charts and files. 
Data entry of research data into electronic databases (including Case Report Forms)
Contact study participants to obtain research related data.  Aquire medical documentation from internal sources or outside facilities while following privacy and confidentiality processes.
Provide general clerical support to study coordinators, Investigators, Director.
Build/maintain comprehensive databases.
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing, positive attitude and will be flexible and open to change.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.  Attentiveness to detail is required.  Must be computer literate and have a true ability to work independently and as part of a team.
